These Terms of Sale govern your purchase of restored vintage slot machines ("machines") from Heritage Slots ("we", "us", "our"), an independent United Kingdom workshop registered for VAT under GB 184 7729 31. By placing an order, paying via PayPal, submitting a private enquiry, or otherwise transacting with us, you ("the buyer", "you") agree to these terms in full.
1. The Nature of Our Catalogue
Every machine sold by Heritage Slots is supplied as a fully restored decorative collectable. Each piece has been dismantled, serviced, reassembled and tested in our West Midlands workshop. The mechanical assemblies — reels, payout escalator, leaf switches, gear trains — operate correctly. Visible cosmetic patina is preserved wherever it is structurally sound.
The coin acceptors are factory-set so that the reels will spin and the payout mechanism will register but no real currency is accepted and no monetary value is returned. These are not gaming devices within the meaning of the Gambling Act 2005. They are mechanical antiques intended for the appreciation of the buyer.
2. Pricing and VAT
All prices displayed on this website are inclusive of United Kingdom VAT at the standard rate (currently 20%). A VAT invoice is automatically generated with every PayPal order. Buyers in the European Union and the Channel Islands may be eligible for VAT-free supply under the reverse-charge mechanism — please contact us before ordering.
Prices for restoration, delivery and bespoke work are quoted individually through the enquiry form and confirmed in writing before any charge is raised.
3. Payment
Direct online payment is processed through PayPal in Great British Pounds (GBP). We additionally accept BACS (UK Faster Payment), international bank wire, and card payments processed via Stripe in EUR and USD when the order is placed through the enquiry process.
Heritage Slots does not store any credit or debit card details on its servers. All card transactions are processed by PayPal or Stripe under their respective PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance programmes.
4. UK Delivery
Free white-glove inspection delivery is included for all UK mainland postcodes. Specialist two-person crew, scheduled within fourteen working days of cleared payment. Scotland (mainland and islands), Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are quoted individually via the enquiry form. 5. Workshop Warranty
Every machine is covered by a twelve-month workshop warranty from the date of delivery, covering mechanical assembly failures and electrical component failures as set out in our Returns & Warranty policy. Cosmetic wear, original cabinet finish, glass and patina are explicitly not covered — these are authentic antique surfaces and develop character with age.
6. Right of Withdrawal
Because every machine is hand-selected, fully restored and photographed to the buyer's specification before delivery, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not apply to commissioned restorations or to bespoke selection. For ready-stock collection pieces delivered to UK mainland buyers, a fourteen-day cooling-off period applies beginning the day after you (or your nominated recipient) take physical possession. You must notify us in writing within this period and the machine must be returned in the same condition in which it was delivered.
7. Risk and Title
Risk in the machine passes to the buyer upon physical delivery to the address specified in the order (or to a nominated recipient at that address). Title in the machine passes to the buyer upon receipt by Heritage Slots of cleared payment in full.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by English law, Heritage Slots' total liability under or in connection with any order shall not exceed the price paid by the buyer for the machine in question. We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive losses of any kind.
9. Intellectual Property
All photographs, restoration notes and descriptions on this site are © Heritage Slots or our licensors. They may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Restoration certification cards remain the property of Heritage Slots and are issued solely for identification of provenance.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
